Journaling, we need to tell at least the who and when, a where would be good as well. Or maybe you will be writing several paragraphs. Anyway , what we are looking for is something other than just grabbing a black pen and writing under your photos or more than just grabbing a journaling tag or card. For this challenge, make your own card and embellish. Maybe you try your journaling in a circle instead of a rectangle , maybe you will draw lines for your journaling in colored markers. Maybe you will journal in black and outline the really Important words in colored pencils. We are looking for journaling with a little something more. Remember it’s the only task you have to do this week so put a little time in one evening and you are on your way to the very homemade layout. post your journaling on this thread Step#4 make your embellies, no premade stickers or pre printed chipboard. We are going to make some. Use paper, Cardstock , stamps, die’s to cut things manual or electric. Fussy cut, trace, punch, you name it , go for it. Arrange items on your layout and you now have a very homemade layout without relying on expensive pre made things. Post your finished layouts on this thread IMG_4787 by Gabriella B, on Flickr

For my example , I cut a card, corner rounded, used ink on the edge , stamped a simple leaf with colored makers and stitched to frame it. IMG_4765 by Gabriella B, on Flickr

I made the flowers and the base with metal dies and the stars are punched from gold paper. Good job! Did you use scraps for the flowers and stars?

This is stunning. I love your flowers and stars but I also really like how you positioned the long journaling piece and long title piece to balance each other. I am so stealing that idea.
