Ladies, I promise I did not forget. We have, for some reason, been having Internet issues today. Had the repair people out, and even they are not certain what happened. So, I'm here, and hopefully, it is for the whole day, now. Any way, onward!
PHOTOS TELL A STORY challenge
Often times, we think we need to have multiple photos to tell the stories we scrap. That isn’t necessarily so. Frequently, the story can be told, and with great emotion, with just one photo.
We often also think we must journal, journal, journal, when sometimes, the photo(s) we scrap need no words.
Your challenge is to take ONE good photo, telling a story that moves the viewers. That photo, in whatever size you choose to print it, will be the only photo on your layout.
For some help, here are a few ideas: Your grandparents’, or even your parents’ hands. Perhaps clasped together, or one on top of the other in a sort of “embrace”; your husband or child deep into a hobby; a part of your house that you really like, such as a porch, a window, a colorful door, etc.; a family member deep into a good book, with a “focus” on the title; a pair of wonderfully worn, favorite shoes, sweater, jeans, etc.; a bottle or glass (with the bottle) of your favorite beverage...
Make the focus of the item tell the story, and try a different angle, such as shooting from a lower point of view, shooting from the side for a person, shooting the item, such as shoes, from above. Be creative! Add embellishments as you like, but try to keep the photo the focus of the story. Most of all, have fun!

I was considering several photos for this challenge, then my niece posted this photo. Her family is always on the go with school activities, sports, dance class, zoo trips, museums, etc. This time of quarantine has meant slowing down and getting to enjoy the quieter joys of life, such as spending the evening on the front porch.

PERfect! I love the picture, and the smiles on their faces.

Here is a photo I took on Thursday as my mom showed me a Tulip at the Veldeer Tulip farm in Holland MI. She has such a green thumb! It was a beautiful day to get her out of the house. This was her Mother's Day present. flic.kr/p/2iZoeqxThat photo will go on this layout once I'm able to get it printed. flic.kr/p/2iZpMxH

This was taken slightly before dawn. I usually open the patio doors but thought it would be neat to show the panes in the photo. I used papers cut from the For the Record collection from last year's 4 x 4 challenge that I never finished. Thought the words/sayings were so appropriate. Thanks for helping look at things from a different perspective! StayAtHome by Gloria Church, on Flickr
