More practicing with mixed inks. I don't have a big variety of stamps and no alphabets in the clear stamps. It made this mixed color alpha kinda tough to do. I plan on using this technique on a layout title soon. The butterflies are from a Vicki B set. Her stamps are not the same quality as Heidi Swapp, but they worked. I don't have many inks that blend together either. Her alphabet example was the word HELLO and each half of the letter was a different color from light to dark. So she used five different colors. I was lucky to have these that sorta worked. The blue are patina and broken china. The butterflies are mustard seed, marmalade and picked raspberry. I like the big letters with the gradient blues. You are doing great!

I’ve spent more time in my craft room this past week than I’ve spent in a long time! Today I spent a couple hours working on the Double Layout challenge. I’m so slow sometimes. I had a hard time finding papers for it and changed my mind several times. But my circles are cut out for the borders!

I did complete this today. I love stitching on layouts. VERY nice! I enjoy stitching on layouts, too, when my fingers allow it.

This is lovely. Did you design it? Thanks for even suggesting that I would think of something like this. It is a cut file that I found on the design store for the silhouette.

The Heidi Swapp one , you think it’s better quality how?

The Heidi Swapp one , you think it’s better quality how? I'm only repeating what Heidi Swapp said in that class I'm taking right now. She said that one of the signs of a lesser quality stamp is it doesn't stick as well and the image isn't as crisp. Which generally is what I found with my Vicky B stamps. Although, she said if stamps are dirty they don't stick well.

Thanks for this useful information, ladies! I have problems with stamps not sticking to the blocks all the time. Of course I don’t have many high quality stamps. Funny thing is the Echo Park stamps I used the other day were super sticky and I thought the images came out pretty clean.
