Yes, but not from this. Too much work creating. Today, I am doing some planner work.

Not tired of it just frustrated at not getting to the things I want to do when I want to do it. Today I spent several hours cutting raindrops on my Silhouette Cameo for our Mother Daughter banquet. But I took some time this evening to play with my liquid watercolors and practice painting flowers. Not the greatest results but I enjoy playing!

The $10 set of 24 they sell at Walmart. I just couldn’t bring myself to spend a lot before I even knew if I was really interested in sticking with using them.

So, you could maybe use the FlyLady's system for scrapping - 15 minutes a day... Or, even 10...

What liquid watercolors are you using? The $10 set of 24 they sell at Walmart. I just couldn’t bring myself to spend a lot before I even knew if I was really interested in sticking with using them. Here's my thought on that. First, as I've said before, according to many art instructors, watercolor is one of the hardest mediums to learn. I think you are doing GREAT! Second, if you start with the harder to use version of the medium (lets face it, the cheaper versions of any paints are harder to work with because less pigment, and not as good "carriers"), and make that work, you will VERY much appreciate the better, more expensive version. I really enjoy seeing your work with watercolors. You have a knack for it, from what I see. If you enjoy it, keep practicing, and eventually you will get the better version and I can't wait to see what you create with THEM! THAT useless opinion said... I DO have the better version of watercolor pencils. So far, that has NOT made me better at using them! LOL But, in my defense, it's a different medium, and the cheaper versions are quite difficult to use, mainly because of the "carriers" - too waxy, too chalky, etc. Even layering doesn't work because of the carriers. With liquid watercolors, you can more easily make them layer and work.

So, you could maybe use the FlyLady's system for scrapping - 15 minutes a day... Or, even 10... Never heard of the FlyLady until you mentioned her in the other thread. But it is basically what I try to do every day. My 15 minutes can quickly turn in to a hour or two though. And dear Dana can feel alone and neglected. And I love him way too much for that!

But I like to dabble with all the things and I have no income of my own. We are doing fine financially on Dana’s VA and SS pay but I’m trying to save up for some home repairs that we need. And I have his and my medical issues and bills too. Crafting is my therapy but I have a room full of things to play with without getting into something else. But I’m just curious and having fun. And Dana would let me spend every bit of the money we have on anything I want. His favorite saying is “go ahead and buy it if you want it”. I’m truly blessed!

He is a keeper, for sure! I get it about it turning into more time. I couldn't believe, when I first started, how much time had passed when I was organizing my room.

I've have many times where I've done without because it was not needed. Wanted, yes. I admire you for sticking with it. I admire you for feeling blessed. I, too, feel very blessed. I don't have my own money, and don't really like asking DH for it. He gives me money as he sees fit, or if I need it (fuel for vehicle, specific groceries, etc.), or even want it, but I seldom ask. God blessed me with a wonderful man, no matter how much I may complain about him. LOL
