R stands for Ribbon and Rhinestones Ribbon , it’s what we all used before Washi. I thinks it’s actually more fun because it’s flexible. You could make flowers or photo corners and it’s stands up to staples if ya don’t want to mess with glue. Every little bit that you use counts. Rhinestones , they came about the same time that pearls did. I think many of us have switched to either enamel dots or Nuvo drops but I bet we all still have some left in our stash somewhere . Let’s get them out and put them on our desk and see if we can use some this month. IMG_4808 by Gabriella B, on Flickr Not a layout but I used some ribbon.

I like your example! So cheery!
I have a LOT of ribbon. I try to use it frequently. But, there are just some layouts that don't call for it. For instance, most of the layouts in my vacation albums wouldn't call for ribbon. Or, at least most of the ribbon I have. I do have some that could be considered more masculine, which could work. Hmmmm! And just like that! A layout with some of that ribbon just popped into my head! Thanks for the inspiration, Gabriella!

I have plenty of choices for the ribbon and rhinestone challenge! No matter how much I use it won't even put a dent in it! Challenge accepted!!!

IMG_4820 by Gabriella B, on Flickr I finally finished my R layout. I used two different strips of ribbon and some rhinestones. I don’t love the rhinestones. I never really used them on layouts. I had purchased a “few” packs for Christmas ornaments and then gotten a gift booklet of rhinestones from CKC for registration. I still have plenty and I am looking forward to see how y’all use them.

Nicely done! That is a pretty layout, with your ribbon and rhinestones. I generally use rhinestones (I'm not all that fond, either, but am coming to like them) as butterfly bodies, flower centers, and just plain bling.

Ciri, this is a great idea. I love the grid / framing with the ribbon. Plus you have such beautiful photos

This is also posted in the Color challenge. But I just want to say that I probably would not have used rhinestone bling for this layout but since this was stuck in my head I decided to put them on my flowers and snowflakes. I used 47 in all! Didn't put a dent in my collection at all... All Hearts Come Home for Christmas by Gloria Church, on Flickr

Didn't put a dent in my collection at all... LOL! I could likely say that, too, if I used 47. A couple years ago, I bought a big container of clear rhinestones from Hobby Lobby. I figured I could use my alcohol inks on them to color them. It works! But, it will take me a long, long time to use them up.

I like how you layered all the snow flakes and poinsettias at the bottom ,mit balances out the title at the top

Makin' a splash by Gayle Churches, on Flickr This ribbon reminded me of splashing water! No rhinestones, but now that I think of it, I may look for some that are tear drop shape and add in like water drops. Thanks Gabriella!

IMG_4832 by Gabriella B, on Flickr I forgot to buy a souvenir from NYC a few weeks ago. I wanted a magnet or an ornament or se one thing. So I made my own. Used my oval die cutter to cut the lid of the bakery box we brought home. (It was filled with Cannolis) then I glued on tinsel and decorated with red and green rhinestones. Perfect and I saved money. My stash has made itself useful

Nice way to use something that would have otherwise been trash. I've been watching a YouTuber who makes a bunch of decorative stuff from thrift store and Dollar Tree finds. Your ornament is something she would make. Kind of a "vintage" theme with the gold garland. Another of my "goals" - use some scraps to make Christmas tree ornaments.
